Wedding Policy

FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF HARFORD COUNTY IS A PRIVATE RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION

OUR PASTORS MAY PERFORM, AND OUR FACILITIES MAY BE USED FOR WEDDINGS ONLY WHEN BOTH BRIDE AND GROOM ARE MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING OF FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH.

WE DO NOT RENT OUR FACILITIES FOR WEDDINGS, NOR ARE OUR PASTORS ALLOWED TO PERFORM WEDDINGS FOR ANY PERSONS NOT MEMBERS IN FULL AGREEMENT WITH OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH AND DOCTRINAL DISTINCTIVES.

If you are planning to be married and are not a member of a Bible believing church we strongly encourage you to start attending one soon. First Baptist would welcome your attendance.

Marriage is the only union on earth that is bound in Heaven.

It was created by God and He is allowed to define its parametiers, qualifications and responsibilities.

Please don't give God "lip-service" so that you can have a church wedding.

Marriage is between One Man and One Woman until death parts them.

Start this union out the right way.

If you would lke to have a copy of our Wedding Policy, please attend our services for a good while, make sure God is center in your life, talk to a pastor about Membership and what it means to live the life of a member of First Baptist in FULL agreement with our Statement of Faith, Constitution and By-Laws, and our Policy and Proceedures. Once you are a Member in good standing, THEN approach a pastor about getting married!

The process includes a MINIMUM 6 months of counseling!
